Conquest Plans one of Australia’s Tallest Towers in Parramatta for $1.5 Billion

SUMMARY
Conquest has announced plans for a $1.5 billion build-to-rent tower in Parramatta under its ARTE brand. Proposed at roughly 250 metres and 78 storeys, it would be one of Australia’s tallest residential buildings and deliver around 1,000 apartments, including 10% affordable housing for 15 years. The mixed-use scheme includes retail, commercial space and extensive resident amenities.
The project is progressing through the State Significant Development pathway with a request to increase planning controls from an FSR of 10:1 to 23:1 and height from 180 m to 250 m. Conquest will run an international design competition to secure a landmark outcome.
CEO Michael Akkawi highlights rising construction costs, government levies and authority delays as major pressures on housing supply, noting that Conquest’s vertically integrated model helps keep projects viable. Despite current headwinds, the company remains committed to delivering a long-term, high-amenity BTR asset for Parramatta.
