Conquest leads with Multi-Family Living and officially launches ARTE

SUMMARY

Conquest has officially launched ARTE, the brand that will operate its growing residential portfolio and lead its shift from the Australian term “Build-to-Rent” toward the globally recognised concept of “Multi-Family Living.” The announcement follows the reveal of Conquest’s $1.5 billion, 250-metre mixed-use tower proposed for 87 Church Street in Parramatta – set to become one of Australia’s tallest residential buildings.

CEO Michael Akkawi says ARTE reframes the sector around lifestyle rather than finance. Instead of focusing on the rental model, ARTE represents a community-centred approach: a “vertical village” offering connection, amenity and service. The Parramatta project exemplifies this vision with around 1,000 apartments, 10% affordable housing, a four-to-five-level mixed-use podium, and hotel-style amenities including pools, wellness spaces, co-working areas and a cinema room.

The project is progressing through the State Significant Development Application process, including proposed amendments to planning controls to increase height from 180 m to 250 m and raise the FSR from 10:1 to 23:1. Conquest will run a global design competition to secure a landmark architectural outcome.

Akkawi highlights that Conquest’s vertically integrated structure gives the firm the ability to deliver at scale despite industry pressures such as rising costs, new levies like the Housing Productivity Commission charge, and delays from authorities. The launch of ARTE signals Conquest’s long-term commitment to Sydney’s residential market and to redefining high-density living through quality, community and amenity.
